YEREVAN. - Armenian Light Industry Employers’ Confederation will found Trade and Design School in Armenia, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to the Union Co-chairman Hovsep Poghosyan, there is high demand in the industry for sales professionals and designers of new models.

“At a recent meeting with the Minister of Economy of Armenia Karen Chshmaritian, we have raised this issue. Indeed, experienced sales managers, agents, salespersons are rare. Therefore, we would like the Government to help us in establishing an institute (possibly with foreign support) for trade professionals and designers,” Poghosyan said. “We do have good designers but those are lonely mavericks. They rather present their personal style, not Armenian tradition, while we would like to promote Armenian clothes.”

In addition, at the moment many producers of clothes are not satisfied with the preparation and seamstresses and tailors and are so ready to take on professional subjects in the future school.
