The international conference “Information Freedom in the Caucasus” has been opened in Yerevan.
Five Azerbaijani journalists are participating in the conference along with Russian, Georgian, Armenian and American ones.
The Azeri delegation includes Arif Aliyev, the Director of Yeni Nesil, the TV reporter Ghulu Magerramli, Rashid Ghajili, the Head of the Institute of Media Rights, Khoshgedem Bakhshalieva, Editor-in-Chief of the Uch Noghte newspaper and the journalist Asef Ghuliev.
The conference has been organized with the assistance of the U.S. National Security Archive.
It is the second conference. The first was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. The third conference is expected to be held in Baku next year. The participants in the Yerevan conference decided to invite Turkish reporters to Baku next year.
