YEREVAN. – The Armenian Foreign Ministry together with other structures of the Armenian Diaspora will continue their work on preparations for the events marking the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, the annual report issued by MFA said.

The European Court of Human Rights satisfied a motion filed by Armenia on Perincek vs. Switzerland case to be involved as a third party in the case.

On April 11, U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Resolution adopted resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. On September 9 the Greek parliament on Tuesday adopted law criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial. According to the bill, any attempt to disrespect the genocide of the Armenians, or the Greeks, shall be considered a crime.

On November 30 the Chambers of Senators and the Chamber of Deputies of Bolivia formally recognized the Armenian Genocide.   

Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian participated in discussions dedicated to the 65th anniversary of landmark treaty on preventing, punishing genocide held at UN headquarters in March.

On March 22, the Resolution on Prevention of Genocide presented by Armenia was passed by a consensus during the 22nd sitting of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
