YEREVAN. – We are preparing for Ambassador Richard Mills’ arrival within the next few weeks, informed the representatives of the US Embassy in Yerevan.
On December 17, 2014, the US Senate had confirmed Mills as the new US Ambassador to Armenia. Now former Ambassador John Heffern also had informed about this in his blog.
As reported earlier, Mills worked in Beirut, Malta, Paris, Dublin, Islamabad, Riyadh, and London. In the early 1990s, he also worked as a desk officer for the newly independent Armenia and Azerbaijan, followed by a tour as a political officer at the US Consulate in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
His foreign languages are French and Russian.
