STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday sent congratulatory addresses to President Serzh Sargsyan and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, and in connection with Army Day in Armenia.
“Respected President Sargsyan:
“On behalf of the Artsakh Republic’s people, the authorities and myself in person, I sincerely congratulate you on Army Day, a dear and important holiday to all the Armenians.
“You have been standing at the very foundation of the formation of the national army, and today, as Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces, you do your best to increase the defense capacity of the Motherland.
“The Armenian Army is a people’s army; there is not a single family that has not been contiguous to in some way. The best sons of our nation have contributed to the establishment of the Army, and today, their brave sons devotedly carry out the sacred duty of defending the Motherland. We pay homage and glory to all those whose have contributed to the formation of a strong and combat-ready army, to those who maintain our Motherland’s borders steadfast, [and] safeguard our people’s tranquility and peaceful life.
“I once again congratulate you and the Armenian nation entire on this memorable day, wishing peace, great health, success, and all the best on the way of the continuous strengthening and making prosperous the independent Armenian statehood,” the NKR President’s address runs.
