The France-Karabakh Friendship Circle supports the position which the OSCE Minsk Group expressed in its latest statement.

“With a joint statement, the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have informed Azerbaijani FM [Elmar] Mammadyarov about their serious concern by the attacks along the Line of Contact [between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan] and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. They also urged Azerbaijan to honor its commitments to a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

“We unconditionally support the position expressed with this statement by the OSCE Minsk Group,” announced French MP Francois Rochebloine, who is also Chairman of the France-Karabakh Friendship Circle.

“We welcome the terms selected by the co-chairs, since with them [the terms], Armenia’s restrained conduct is recognized, and the factor that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic being a part in the [peace] talks is assumed,” Rochebloine analyzed.

He recalled that it is an illusion to think that a peace agreement can be hammered out without taking the Karabakh party into consideration.

“Not drawing a difference between the attacker and the defender does not contribute to peace,” Francois Rochebloine concluded.
