Russia's refusal from working with PACE does not mean that the country will not work with national delegations in the Assembly, head of the Federation Council committee on international affairs Konstantin Kosachev said.

He said the recent developments at PACE “are not critical” for Russia, and they are confident that their approach was right.

Russian Senator thanked delegations supporting Russia's positions, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Serbia, Montenegro and Turkey that voted against the amendments, as well as the delegations where most members voted against: Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia and Iceland.
