Moscow-Armenian businessman Davit Badikyan had unexpectedly learned, when changing his Russian passport, that he is in prison.
Moreover, according to official data, he will still be in prison for the next two years.
As it turned out, a swindler had stolen Badikyan’s personal data, forged his passport, and received two convictions under someone else’s name.
The court promised Badikyan that it will appeal, prescribed by law, the erroneous verdict.
Badikyan, however, had married during the time when he was supposedly in prison. The visa and the photographs indicate that he had spent his honeymoon in Egypt. In addition, they already have two children, Zvezda TV reported.
The phony Davit Badikyan has been found, and his prison term will be extended for stealing someone else’s data.
