YEREVAN. – In 2015, Armenia will be allocating 188.4 million drams (approx. $395,000) for tourism development in the country, Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan announced at the end of Thursday’s Cabinet session.
The government this year will also continue assisting in the organization of festivals in the regions of Armenia, and in order to attract tourists and contribute to the growth of income in the regions.
And within the framework of cooperation with the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA), assistance will be provided to the International Education Center for Tourist Guides.
In addition, guest houses will continue to be built and developed in Armenia.
