The Georgian police have confiscated a substantial number of pills from Turkish citizen Yusuf O.
He was planning on transporting these pills to Armenia via Georgia, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia informed on Monday.
The Turkish citizen was detained at Georgia’s Sarpi Border Checkpoint, and immediately after crossing the Turkey-Georgia border, informed Novosti Gruzii news agency.
“The [Georgian] law enforcement, when searching his truck, confiscated 9,600 Tramadol-type pills which, according to the result of the [chemical] examination, contain 480 grams of narcotic drugs,” the respective statement reads.
A criminal case was filed into the incident.
