The Armenian Foreign Minister did not let make a joint statement by the Heads of Delegation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Countries and Azerbaijani, Armenian FMs, Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov said.

Today’s meeting lasted for 2 hours, he noted, adding that yesterday the foreign ministers also met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

They stepped up efforts to make a joint statement of the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs plus Heads of Delegation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Countries. “Unfortunately, Armenian Foreign Minister did not let it,” APA quotes Mammadyarov. According to him, the statement is another step ahead.

The Azerbaijani FM also noted that the Co-Chairs intend to visit the region in September, not specifying precise date.

Official Yerevan has not commented on the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs yet.
