YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will pay compensation for the damage caused to the Tavush Region villages, and as a result of the shooting by Azerbaijan.

The respective decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

Accordingly, Armenian drams equivalent to approximately $13,300 will be allocated to recompense for the damaged homes and property.

The compensation will be paid to the residents of the Tavush Region’s border villages which suffered damages from the adversary’s shots that were fired between January 5 and 12.

Overall, 134 residents’ property, including houses and vehicles, had sustained damages.

In addition, the Armenian government conclusively approved the decision on reimbursing the natural gas, electricity and irrigation water consumption costs of the residents of the border communities.
