YEREVAN. – All of Armenia’s interstate and national roads are open for traffic as of Thursday at 9:30am, reported the Ministry of Transport and Communication.

But it is snowing in numerous cities and the Vardenyats (Selim) Mountain Pass, and there is snowstorm in several areas.

The Artik-Alagyaz motorway is difficult to pass, and there is black ice on some parts of the Martuni city section of the Vardenyats (Selim) Mountain Pass.

The road crews are scattering salt and sand on the motorways to ensure safe travel.

And according to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, the country’s Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is open for all vehicles with chained wheels.
