The head of the Armenia Border Department of the Russian Federal Security Service, Major General Vyacheslav Biryukov, is satisfied with the level of cooperation with their Armenian associates.
Biryukov, at a press conference on Friday, stressed the high level of their teamwork with the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia.
“Both sides are interested in the protection of state borders. Last year’s results evidence an effective work. We listen to each other, [and] understand [one another]; this enables to adequately respond to the challenges and conclude that cooperation will also be successful in 2015,” he noted.
The major general added that the modernization of the border protection system is progressing at a rapid pace, respective modern technology is being used, and the capabilities of both the Russian and Armenian sides are put into use for this objective.
