YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday received the heads of the customs organizations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan), and the respective senior officials from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

These officials will be attending, in capital city Yerevan, the 14th session of the United Customs Services Council of the Customs Union member states.

The President expressed the hope that the first such format talk between the heads of the customs agencies of the EEU countries will be productive.

In addition, Sargsyan decorated Andrey Belyaninov, Head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, with the Friendship Order, in recognition of his contribution to the development of economic ties and strengthening the friendship between the peoples of Armenia and Russia.

In turn, the heads of the customs organizations of the EEU countries assured the Armenian President that the agencies they administer over stand ready to carry out their tasks given by the leaders of the Union member countries thus playing a part in the strengthening and development of the Union.
