YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Saturday paid a visit to the construction site of the Armenian Centre of Excellence in Oncology (ACEO), to get familiarized with the respective activities.

This program is implemented in three phases: The creation of the centers for radioisotope production and molecular diagnosis; outpatient services for radiation treatment; and chemotherapy and surgery.

The PM was presented details on the work already done and the future courses of action.

Abrahamyan, for his part, underscored the ACEO’s construction with proper quality and within schedule, and gave corresponding instructions to the heads of relevant departments.

The ACEO is planned to conduct activities toward prevention and early detection of oncological diseases.

The center will be equipped with modern apparatus, and it is expected to serve the people of Armenia and the region.
