The Canada-Armenia Friendship Group of the Canadian parliament convened its annual meeting on Wednesday in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada.

Along the lines of the event, Conservative Party MP Harold Albrecht was reelected chairman of this group.

The Ambassador of Armenia to Canada, Armen Yeganian, delivered remarks at the annual meeting. He spoke about the development of bilateral interparliamentary ties, and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy.

The discussants conferred on the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, aid to refugees arriving in Armenia from Syria, and active cooperation between friendship groups.
