The European Union (EU) supports the efforts of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group toward the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Malena Mard, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, stated the aforementioned.
She added that negotiations on contributing to the confidence building have been conducted for a long time.
The diplomat also said the EU attaches great importance to territorial integrity and security issues.
“The status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is unacceptable for us as well. The [Armenian and Azerbaijani] presidents met thrice last year. It is good to hold high-level meetings. EU has a special representative for the South Caucasus. He is in contact with the [Minsk Group] co-chairs,” Mard stressed.
