YEREVAN. – Armenia may hope for new investments in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

The head of the Department of Economics of the Institute of CIS Countries, Aza Mihranyan (Moscow), stated the abovementioned at Wednesday’s discussions, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and devoted to the country’s Eurasian integration process.

“Unfortunately, under the created economic conditions, the pace of these investments may slowdown to some extent,” Mihranyan noted, and added: “But Armenia has the maximum chances, since the Russian capital has steadily established in the country for a long time.”

As per the economist, since the Russian capital is already represented in the EEU on a wide scale, one of Armenia’s main tasks should be to attract the Kazakh capital, which is virtually absent in the country at this point.
