YEREVAN. - Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan received the Chairman of the European Development Bank (EDB) Management Board Dmitry Pankin.

Mr. Abrahamyan welcomed the guest and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Armenia and EDB.

Dmitry Pankin thanked for the reception and said that the Bank is ready to discuss the perspectives of investment programs in Armenia.

During the meeting the officials discussed question on the extension and deepening of bilateral cooperation and specifically the opportunities of implementing programs in the field of infrastructures.

Afterwards, in the presence of Armenia’s PM, an agreement was signed between Armenia and EDB on provision of credit from the EurAsEC funds for financing installment 4 of the North-South road corridor. Within the framework of the agreement, the Armenian side will get a credit equivalent to $150 million.  

The document was signed by the Chairman of the EDB Management Board Dmitry Pankin and Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan.
