YEREVAN. – Access to Republic Square, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, will be limited during the concert of the world-renowned American Armenian rock band System of a Down (SOAD).

Deputy Chief of Police Samvel Hovhannisyan informed about the above-said at a press conference on Friday.

To note, the SOAD Yerevan concert on April 23 will conclude the band’s “Wake Up the Souls” world tour to mark the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

The deputy police chief added that solely 50,000 people may enter the square to attend the concert, and the number of people entering the square will be tallied by way of special turnstiles to be installed at the concert venue.

As per Hovhannisyan, the Police of Armenia are monitoring the social networking sites, too, and they are aware that people from Georgia and Iran also wish to attend the concert.
