A petition calling on the government of New Zealand to recognize the Armenian Genocide has been launched on Change.org website.
“By downplaying, ignoring, or even forgetting entirely that the crime of the Armenian Genocide happened, we encourage future Adolf Hitlers, Joseph Stalins, and Talaat Pashas to commit such acts in the belief that they too can get away with mass murder,” the resolution reads.
The petition was signed by Serj Tankian who also called on his followers in Twitter to follow his lead.
