YEREVAN. – The Eurasia International University in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan on Monday hosted Harvard University lecturer, Jewish psychologist Pamela Steiner.

To note, Steiner is the great-granddaughter of Henry Morgenthau, the US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire from 1913 to 1916.

The discussion revolved around Morgenthau’s role as an ambassador, Armenian Genocide recognition, the respective US position, normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, and several other matters.

It is known that Henry Morgenthau had condemned the genocide of the Armenians as “a campaign of race extermination.”

The great-granddaughter of this great diplomat urged to achieve progress in Armenian-Turkish matters, but without forgetting what had occurred, and to maintain tranquility and balance in these relations.
