Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense gave a vague response with regard to the dissemination in electronic mass media and social networks of footage of the dislocation of military hardware and manpower.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense officially states that “the dislocation of military units, military hardware and personnel and other military elements is within the powers of the Armed Forces’ command and is carried out in accordance with a pre-approved plan”, APA reports, citing the Defense Ministry website.

The Defense Ministry also stated that under the command of the Defense Minister and the order of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, personnel of the military units and formations are woken up with an alarm signal according to plan with the view of checking their combat readiness.
