A service was organized by the Irish parish of the Armenian Apostolic Church to mark the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.

Clergy from seven Christian denominations and a representative of the Jewish community were among those in attendance at the service, which was held in Taney Church of Ireland in capital city Dublin, Rtе.ie reported.

Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin the Most Rev Dr Michael Jackson gave a sermon at the service.

The Armenian Consul to Ireland, Hayk Khemchyan, also delivered remarks at the event. He called on Ireland to recognize  the Armenian Genocide, and recalled Pope Francis’ recent respective message.
