YEREVAN. – The Google search for the phrase “Armenian Genocide” has recently increased.

Media and information security expert Samvel Martirosyan said the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday.

“The [search for the] ‘Armenian Genocide’ key words have increased by two to four times in all of Google history since 2004,” Martirosyan said.

The expert noted that Armenian topics have appeared among the most discussed topics these days in social networking sites.

“This time the Armenian topic was among the top topics in Germany, Israel, France, [and] Russia for hours. And the Turkish users started a flash mob, during which they were apologizing to Armenians,” Samvel Martirosyan noted. “On the next day, the term ‘Armenian Genocide’ became the number one topic in Turkey.”
