YEREVAN. – The draft loan agreement on extending operations of the Armenian nuclear power plan that has been reached with Russia was introduced during the Armenian parliament's plenary session on Wednesday.

The draft agreement was introduced by Deputy Energy Minister Areg Galstyan.

The agreement signed in February suggests that the Russian side will provide $270 million as a loan and a grant of $30 million to extend operations of the Armenian NPP. The operation of the existing energy unit will be prolonged till 2026.
