The Armenian side considers it necessary to actively cooperate in exchange of data on missing persons from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armen Kaprielyan, head of the working group of the Armenian State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, told Armenian News – NEWS.am, commenting on the US Ambassador Daniel Baer’s recent statement in the OSCE.

“We always told about the necessity of exchange of data on missing people, and we again state about the significance of this humanitarian problem,” Armen Kaprielyan said, reminding that Armenia has been actively raising this matter since 2008.

At the Permanent Council session in Vienna, the US Ambassador Daniel Baer  encouraged the sides to take concrete steps to implement this data exchange and to consider other proposals by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs designed to build trust and increase contacts between the sides.

Nevertheless, the Azerbaijani side declines all the calls of the Armenia side to start cooperation in data exchange and search for missing persons.
