The US Ambassador to Turkey, John Bass, announced that speaking openly about 1915—that is, the year in which the Armenian Genocide had started—will help normalize Armenian-Turkish relations.
Bass, talking with reporters on the occasion of the World Press Day, also spoke about 1915 and Armenian-Turkish relations, reported Hurriyet daily of Turkey.
As per the US diplomat, Armenia and Turkey have focused on a single day, yet what’s important is the resolution of this matter.
In the American ambassador’s view, it is important to focus on what should be done on the other days of the year.
