YEREVAN. – A five-star Hilton Hotel is expected to officially open in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in the coming weeks, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“According to our sources, Hilton has currently started an active process of recruiting staff. 

“It was planned that the hotel would open before April 24 [i.e. the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide], but construction was delayed for some reason, and solely the first several floors were ready on April 24.

“Note that from the top international hotel brands, solely Marriott operates in Yerevan at this time.

“[And] Hilton’s entrance will substantially change Armenia’s hotel market,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
