A risk of collapse no longer poses a threat to the famous Odzun Church, which is an Armenian basilica constructed between the 5th and 7th centuries in Odzun village of Armenia’s Lori Province.

The church was restored thanks to the funding by Moscow-based Armenian businessman Movses Dzavaryan.

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has praised the work done. According to Mery Danielyan, Program Manager at the Mother See Department of Architecture, the restoration was carried out at the highest level. The Ministry of Culture of Armenia is of the same opinion, too.

“My goal was to save the church from collapse, and I consider my mission accomplished,” Dzavaryan added, for his part.

The restoration of the Odzun Church lasted three years.
