The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Tuesday attended the 125th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE).

Nalbandian also delivered an address at the event, which is held in the Belgian capital city of Brussels.

First, he thanked the CoE Secretary General for the second report on the situation of human rights in Europe. He noted that Armenia shares the report’s assessment that the protection of human rights, and the strengthening of democratic institutions and a country of law can further contribute to democratic security to take roots in Europe.

The Armenian FM also reflected on the recent parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, and the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

In addition, Nalbandian presented to the CoE foreign ministers the message of the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations.
