An exhibition of the works by painters from Etchmiadzin (currently, Vagharshapat), Armenia, will open Wednesday in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, and it will be open until June 14, informed the Issy-les-Moulineaux City Hall official website.

“Since 1989, Issy-les-Moulineaux has established ties with the Armenian city of Etchmiadzin,” the City Hall press release reads. “As part of the Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary events, it was important to include our sister city in the [respective] events scheduled in Issy-les-Moulineaux.”

An official delegation from Etchmiadzin will be in this French city between May 20 and 25.

“This exhibition is a good opportunity to present the creations of contemporary Armenian painters,” noted the Issy-les-Moulineaux City Hall website.
