The Tbilisi police detained the offender who had mugged British Armenian journalist Onnik James Krikorian in the downtown area of the capital city of Georgia. 

The delinquent had snatched the journalist’s wallet from his hand and quickly fled, reported RG.

It was found out that Krikorian was mugged by a teenager who was born in 2003. He had stolen US$ 25 dollars and credit cards.

But since the mugger was a juvenile, and those under 14 years of age are not subject to criminal liability in Georgia, the criminal proceedings were dropped.   

The wallet was returned to its owner.
