Armenia’s Ambassador to Sweden, Artak Apitonian, on Thursday met with the Minister for Justice and Migration and Asylum Policy of Sweden, Morgan Johansson.

They discussed the prospects for development and implementation of bilateral cooperation programs in the justice sector.

Ambassador Apitonian underscored the need to take practical steps to introduce Sweden’s best track-record in this domain to Armenia.  

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the tangible results in Armenian-Swedish cooperation in migration, and explored the prospects for further deepening this collaboration.

Apitonian and Johansson also highlighted the preparation of a protocol to put into effect—between the two countries—the Armenia-European Union agreement on the readmission of persons residing without authorization.
