YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia and the Civil Protection Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), on Thursday in Rome.

The document refers to cooperation in civil protection and assistance during emergencies, informed the Armenia MFA press service.

The MoU was signed by Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy, Sargis Ghazaryan, and the head of the aforesaid Italian department, Fabrizio Curcio.  

The memorandum envisions Armenia-Italy collaboration and exchange of knowhow in the prediction, prevention and reduction of, and resistance against natural and man-made disasters.  

Before signing the MoU, Ghazaryan and Curcio expressed satisfaction that Armenian-Italian cooperation is complemented with the domain of civil protection.
