American Armenian Agasi Vartanyan, who has been fasting for already 52 days outside the Armenian church in Burbank, California, will finish fasting on May 28, Agasi Vartanyan himself told Armenian News – NEWS.am.
He said that he feels much better as compared with the previous days. “I also hope to successfully spend these three days. May 28, which is the First Armenian Republic Day, at11:00, I’ll finish my fasting,” Agasi Vartanyan said.
By his fasting, Vartanyan wants to draw the world’s attention to the Armenian Genocide Centennial and he will neither leave the three-meter-high and three-meter-wide glass-enclosed building space, nor contact with the outside world for 55 days. He has taken along solely water for 55 days, clothing, and a mobile phone. Vartanyan is under full-time surveillance.
