On the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, an event with the participation of the world famous French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour will take place in the 9th and 10th arrondissements (districts) of Marseilles on June 4.

According to Nouvelles d'Arménie, the event will be held in the White House Park of Marseilles and will be attended by Armenia’s Consul General Vartan Sirmakes.

During the event the members of the Ararat Choir of Marseilles will open the decorated façade of the City Hall building. Besides, the ceremony of the opening of ‘Centennial Olive Tree’ – the symbol of peace, hope and longevity - will take place. The ceremony will be conducted by Charles Aznavour and Lionel Royer-Perreaut, Mayor of the 9th and 10th arrondissements.
