Cooperation of Cyprus and Armenia in defense sector is aimed at peaceful purposes, Cyprus Defense Minister Christoforos Fokaides told reporters on Wednesday.

The modern states have to face such threats as terrorism, radicalism and cyber attacks, the Minister said, adding that it is especially important to combine experience and efforts.

At the suggestion of Cyprus, the countries will consider holding of joint military drills.
