YEREVAN. – The Ambassador of Armenia to Egypt, Armen Melkonian, on Thursday met with the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Abdel Wahed el-Nabawy.

The parties stressed that cultural cooperation is an important area of Armenian-Egyptian friendship relations, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. They also reached an agreement on intensifying efforts to participate in the cultural events of one another.

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for the expansion of cultural cooperation, and the increase of mutual visits and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The Armenian ambassador and the Egyptian minister also reflected on the Armenian community’s significant contribution to the social and cultural life in Egypt.
