YEREVAN - The orientalist Arayik Harutyunyan was elected as leader of the Civil Contract Party of Armenia established on Saturday.
Three candidates ran for the office: party administration member Alen Simonyan, Arayik Harutyunyan and MP Nikol Pashinyan. Alen Simonyan and Nikol Pashinyan withdrew their participation.
Arayik Harutyunyan was elected as the leader of the Civil Contract Party in the course of the ballot vote.
