Ninth meting of the Armenian-Belarusian Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee was convened Monday in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus.

An Armenian National Assembly (NA) delegation, led by NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, attended the event.

Sharmazanov, in his welcoming remarks, noted that this committee is a platform for an open and constructive dialogue. He also stated that significant progress has been recorded in the development of Armenian-Belarusian interparliamentary relations.

Subsequently, the discussants conferred on the meeting agenda items.

The parties also urged to expand the framework of interparliamentary cooperation.

In addition, they proposed to set up in Gyumri, Armenia, an Armenian-Belarusian enterprise for agricultural machinery service and manufacturing of spare parts.
