YEREVAN. – The condition of an Armenia woman injured by her husband hours after giving birth is showing trend for improvement, head of the hospital Razmik Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The woman is stable and is in an intensive care department, the doctor said. Meanwhile, the newborn girl is in a stable, but serious conditions. The premature baby girl has infection and intrauterine pneumonia.
A tragic event occurred Tuesday at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife who had given birth recently, and then committed suicide.
