YEREVAN. – A decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of Armenia.

Accordingly, money will be allocated from the reserve fund of the country’s state budget, and to cover the expenses for the Syrian Armenian delegation’s participation in the forthcoming 6th Pan-Armenian Games.

There is already an agreement on the delegation’s arrival from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut, and these Syrian Armenian athletes will stay at an Armenian capital city Yerevan hotel for sixteen days.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan underscored the importance of this matter, and stressed that covering the expenses of the Syrian Armenian delegation is an important matter for Armenia.

“We have set a task of preparing additional stadiums,” stated the chairman of the World Committee of Pan-Armenian Games, Ishkhan Zakaryan, who is also Chairman of the Control Chamber of Armenia.

The 6th Pan-Armenian Games will be held from August 2 to 13 in Armenia and in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. A total of 5,461 Armenian athletes from 35 countries have applied for participation in this event.
