YEREVAN. – The alliance of political and civil mass is dangerous for the Armenian authorities, political analyst Armen Badalyan believes.

The Armenian leadership has always tried to separate the two things and to use an artificial term “civil movement”.

Commenting on the Electric Yerevan protests, Badalyan pointed out different interests, political and economic ones, that clashed and coincided.

“What happens now resembles a summer camp that has nothing in common with reality,” he added.

There definitely were the interests of the ruling authorities, as there are electricity producers not interested in price hike, the analyst emphasized.
