YEREVAN. – The movement against increase in electricity prices in Armenia has led to situational judgments and restored faith in our own strength, political analyst Vigen Hakobyan said.
The main problem is that the Armenian society is afraid of the word “political”, a phobia that is explained by disappointment.
“Any spontaneous movement in Armenia appears right in the focus of interests of different vectors because of geographic location,” Hakobyan told reporters on Friday.
There is no task of separating Armenia from Russia's area of influence, the political analyst believes. However, he is convinced that “soft power” of the West is working every day.
As regard serious political process, it will become possible only if the opposition political field is restored.
