YEREVAN. - Constitutional reforms will not result in parliamentary republic, but in a state revolution, Armenian MP and ex-PM Hrant Bagratyan told Armenian News - NEWS.am, referring to the issue the authorities are trying to solve through constitutional changes.

According to him, the authorities are solving several issues through the reforms. “You can consider that they want to solve the issue of reclaiming power,” Bagratyan said.

He disagreed with the opinion that the constitutional reforms are laying the foundation for the fourth republic.

“That opinion is wrong. This constitution isn’t the constitution of a republic,” he said, noting that there was no need in implementing constitutional changes now.
