YEREVAN. - Cheap but not very high-quality beer from Ukraine has appeared in the Armenian market, Ashot Baghdasaryan, General Director of “Beer of Yerevan” CJSC told Armenian News – NEWS.am. This refers to the production of a number of famous brands, he said.

“I can’t tell the reason of the cheapness of their good. But the quality is certainly lacking. Considering the transportation costs, I can’t understand how this beer is being sold at the same price and even cheaper than the local one,” Baghdasaryan said.

According to him, the price has nothing to do with the container: the aforementioned refers not only to beer in plastic bottles, but also that in glass containers.

“There’s also Russian beer in the market, which is also inferior to our beer by quality, but it is higher in price,” Baghdasaryan said.
