YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Tuesday received Ambassador Traian Hristea, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, who is ending his mission in the country.

First, PM Abrahamyan highly praised Ambassador Hristea’s activities in the development of Armenia-EU relations, and thanked him for the active and productive collaboration. Abrahamyan noted that Armenia stands ready to continue cooperation with the EU, and he also thanked the European side for its assistance to the country.

The EU official, for his part, thanked Abrahamyan for the close cooperation and assistance. The ambassador noted that the EU-Armenia political discourse has further developed in recent years. At the same time, he stressed that the EU stands ready to further enhance this dialogue.

Ambassador Hristea also informed that the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, has instructed to accelerate all documentation processes toward pushing the further reforms in Armenia forward.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed Armenia-EU relations.

At the end of the meeting, Hovik Abrahamyan wished Traian Hristea success in his future professional activities, and personal life.
