Istanbul Armenian activist Garo Paylan, who has been elected MP from the pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP) of Turkey, has planted trees in the area of the Camp Armen Armenian orphanage in Istanbul.

Paylan and the activists, who are on a 24-hour watch against the demolition of Camp Armen, planted 32 trees for the 32 youth that were killed in a terrorist act in Suruç—a rural district of Şanlıurfa Province of Turkey—, reported Agos Armenian bilingual weekly of Istanbul.

The Suruç bombing took place on July 20, as 32 people were killed as a result of a suicide bomber entering among the youth at a press conference, and detonating his bomb.
